Gardening with Hackney Today!

We had a busy afternoon on Wednesday, planting outside Hub 67. It’s been a long time since using a wheel barrow…

Fifteen people (and two dogs!) came to help out and Hackney Today were here to write a feature about what we’ve got planned in the coming months.

We worked with Groundwork as part of their ‘Make Grow Do’ programme and Cordwainer’s Grow who are starting a new project ‘Hackney Herbal’ a teablend for Hackney which will be sold in local markets.

We’re busy planning some activities for May that will be the launch of regular events here. We’ll be welcoming Cordwainer’s Grow/ Hackney Herbal back, in a Make your own Teabag and tea tasting session. We tried some fresh tea made by them and it was TASTY and refreshing!

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came along, we really enjoyed it. If you didn’t hear about this event and want to keep up to date with what we’ve got going on, please email [email protected] or come in and let us know the best way you find out about local events.

If you want to help us with watering or maintaining any of the plants, then please get in touch! (drop in, or contact [email protected])
